Martin Honasan was born in Quezon City, Philippines on April 18, 1976. He graduated from the Ateneo de Manila University in 1998 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, concentrating his course in Communication Arts and Psychology. He worked in advertising as a graphic designer, visualizer, storyboard artist, and art director in several projects. He later started a design studio with a few friends then finally moved on to completely pursue painting. Presently, he is a member of the Saturday Group, an artist group that has been around since the ‘60s. He has participated in several local group shows since 2005 and is currently preparing for his first solo show.
